About

Carol is CCIDC and ASID Certified. She has won awards within these groups and has held the honors of associating with these professional organizations since 1982, and 1993 respectively.

Carol works to represent the client's taste and direction, without influencing them away from their particular goals and desires. "While I bring my vast experience and design expertise, I work hard to satisfy the individual needs rather than impose my personal taste. It is important to me, to leave a project with the client feeling comfortable, satisfied, and delighted in having a design that is an extension of themselves. I think what really sets me apart is that i enjoy working with one existing design element and creating the entire space around that meaningful piece; like a family heirloom, aviation, golf, or items of personal significance. This helps to unify the entire home in a natural improvement, making a living space, not necessarily a showroom."

Over 35 Years, Carol has developed a unique team of experts and significant sources for product and professional craftsmanship including established artisans in: Woodworking, Glassworks, Plastics and Acrylics, Carpeting, Fabric and Textiles, Stone Work, Lighting, Accessories, and many other specific trades.

Carol owned the House of Wallpaper and Interiors, located on Wells Avenue, for ten years. Later, she started Encore Home Furnishings. She created Reno's first high-end consignment space, creating an upper scale venue for individuals to sell quality pieces. Carol sold Encore in 2005, where she spent 12 years integrating her talents and reach into the East and West Coast Design markets to the benefit of her loyal patrons here, and in the Tahoe basin.
